This exciting new opportunity is perfect for Explorers who want to step into a leadership role, develop valuable skills, and help showcase Scouting in South London.

Take Part in Local Voice

This November, Scouts and Explorers will have the exciting opportunity to engage directly with local decision-makers, including MPs, councillors, and community leaders. Through these impactful conversations, young people can share their views, experiences, and ideas, helping to shape the future of their communities and beyond.

As part of UK Parliament Week, this initiative celebrates democracy and the power of youth voices to drive change. It’s a chance for Scouts and Explorers to showcase the incredible work they’re doing, the skills they’re building, and the positive impact Scouting has on individuals and communities.

Earn the YouShape Awards

The YouShape Award is open to all sections—Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers—and focuses on embedding Youth Shaped Scouting into every group. Covering four key areas—Central, Plan, Lead, and Represent—the award empowers young people to take ownership of their Scouting experience, develop leadership skills, and make a real impact.
