What is the Scouts’ Shape Your Scouting Event?

The Scouts’ Shape Your Scouting Event is an exciting opportunity for Scouts aged 10½–14 to have their voices heard and play an active role in shaping the future of Scouting. This engaging and interactive event is designed to empower Scouts to share their ideas, reflect on their experiences, and influence decisions at local, county, and national levels.

With a mix of fun activities and meaningful discussions, Scouts will explore what they enjoy most about Scouting, what could be improved, and how they want the movement to grow.

What to Expect

 Exciting Activities and Games:
The event begins with fun, interactive activities to spark creativity and encourage Scouts to think about their Scouting journey in a relaxed and engaging way.

 Interactive Forums:
Scouts will take part in lively discussions and brainstorming sessions, sharing their thoughts and ideas on key topics. These forums provide a platform for every Scout to have their voice heard and contribute to shaping the future.

 Youth-Led Discussions:
Scouts will take the lead in collaborative conversations, ensuring their views are central to the decisions shaping Scouting.

Celebrating Scouts’ Voices:
The event concludes by celebrating the fantastic ideas shared, with a focus on how these contributions will influence Scouting moving forward.

Who Can Attend?

This event is open to all Scouts aged 10½–14 from all 7 Districts within South London Scouts. Scouts can attend without their leaders, however it will be the leaders responsibility to ensure that all medical and emergency contact details are up to date.
