Cubs Tri-scout Challenge

Indoor croquet challenge

Using either toilet roll tubes or card and some tape create an indoor croquet course numbering each one. Now using a broom or even your feet to hit or kick a small ball around the course in number order, you can either score per hole or first one to finish the course in the shortest time? Make this even more challenging by adding a task to be completed once the hole goes through each hole like “do 15 jumping jacks” or “go and run up and down the stairs two times”

Balloon challenge

Get at least two balloons more if you wish to make it harder, each player must stand in a designated spot on the floor and must not move during their turn. They then start a timer and for every min they can keep the balloon from touching the floor score 1 point. Score differently if you wish.

Obstacle maze challenge

Make sure to create an engaging course that includes a variety of motions (Jumping, crawling, balancing, etc.) and use a larger area or possibly different rooms/floors. Have your kids make the course (its half the fun!) using some of these ideas or your own:

  • Hula hoops to jump through

  • Line of tape on floor to balance along

  • Sofa cushions to hop between

  • Table/chairs to crawl under

  • Blanket over two chairs to crab walk through

  • Containers to hurdle over

  • Pile of teddy’s to roll over

  • Plastic cups to run around
