  • Jam (strawberry or raspberry is good)

  • Batter mix (1 packet makes 12 doughnuts)

  • Sugar (to roll your cooked doughnut in)

  • Oil (to fry doughnuts)

Utensils

  • 1 x knife (for spreading and cutting)

  • 1 x chopping board/plate

  • 1 x measuring jug and whisk/fork (for batter mix)

  • 1 x frying pan

  • 1 x bowl (for sugar)

  • Oil (to fry doughnuts)

Method

  1. Make a sandwich using 2 slices of bread and some jam (no butter!)

  2. Cut the sandwich into 4 squares.

  3. Roll each square of sandwich in the batter mix (make sure you have a thick even coating).

  4. Shallow fry each square on both sides until golden brown.

  5. Once cooked, roll each square in sugar.

  6. Eat!
