Community Ambassadors
Here's a simple idea..!
Community Ambassadors are people in your local community that help to promote opportunities to volunteer in your group.
It's simple really, ask key members of your local community to become an ambassador for your scout group. This could be anyone that has the opportunity to meet and talk to lots of the local people - the owner of the local chip shop or news agents, the manager of a supermarket. Ask them to take on the task of helping to ‘spread the word’, promote the opportunities to get involved as a volunteer in scouting and recruit more leaders.
To support these people, we have designed a guide which you can give to people that take on this role for your group.
