The details

We are so please that we are once again now able to hold our annual AGM as an in-person event.  We really hope you will take the opportunity to take an active part in the governance of our county, to meet other leaders and managers from across our county and support and meet our new county chair.

The business part of the evening will be followed by a presentation detailing the key improvements the Scout Association is soon introducing to the volunteering experience, to create a modern and fit-for-purpose volunteering culture with skills for life at the core. 

Refreshments will follow the meeting, where there will be an opportunity to meet and mingle with new and old friends and provide you with an opportunity to meet with and talk to members of the county team.

Sustainability

Sustainability is an important issue for our members and is a key element of our county vision. We have a duty to ensure we make every effort to be as practically sustainable, as we can, during our events.

We cannot achieve this through any single action or change, it will take effort from everyone. During the evening you’ll see some of our contributions, like no single-use coffee cups, water bottles etc and a conscious effort to recycle. Please do everything you can and be prepared to support our actions.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, the Minutes of our 2021 AGM, Agenda and Annual Report will not be available in paper form, but will be available to download from the bottom of this page.

One of the great things about scouting is that we come together to support one another, celebrate our achievements, and enjoy each other’s company. But, as we now operate in a new way, we are also planning to provide a Zoom option for those that really can’t be with us in person. We appreciate that sometimes it’s easy to take the most convenient option, but we really, really, really hope you will come along, and we look forward to seeing you in person at The Fort.
