Join our winning team and help make a real diffrence!

To help us to continue to build on our success, we are looking for a proactive person (or a team of people), for the exciting role of County Chair for South London Scouts.

Building effective teams is important at every level of scouting and many of our successes can be directly attributed to our strong county, districts, groups and units which work together to make scouting happen across South London!

Our County Chair plays a vital role in the strategic direction of our county; and works closely with the County Lead, the County Leadership Team, County Development and Volunteer Support Service, and the County Board of Trustees to support the county and our districts so that our young people gain the skills they need to success in life.

In changing times, we recognise what we looked for in a County Chair in years gone by and the skills and qualities we now look for are very different. The level of commitment and flexibility in the role is something, which is appealing and very rewarding all at the same time. We are open to all options and want to meet individual’s circumstances. With this in mind, we are seeing more partnerships between shared roles so thinking differently is important to us.

South London Scouts has extra-ordinary people, who work together to provide amazing scouting for the young people across  Bexley, Wandsworth, Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Bromley, and the Royal Borough of Greenwich. We want to make sure that the future is bright for scouting across South London, by finding the right person or team of people to take on this important role.
