First Response blend learning
The blended model combines a 2.5 hour eLearning with a three-hour online session for the learning (10A). The practical validation (10B) is a short (20 to 30 min) face to face session which covers the practical elements of the life support training.

Step 1: Register and complete the First Response elearning
- Register and complete the First Response elearning HERE
Complete the enrolment and follow the online instructions for the (approx) 2.5 hours e-learning session.
This learning doesn’t need to be completed in one sitting. It can be completed in sections and saved.
On completion of all sections, submit the form (selecting ‘South & South East London Scouts’) so your progress can be recorded by our County Training Administrator
Step 2: Book on to a First Response (elearning & zoom) session
Once you have completed the elearning book on to a First Response 10A (online)
These are listed as ‘First Response 10A e-learning & zoom’
Step 3: Book on to a First Response practical assessment
- once you have completed both the elearning and First Response 10A online session CLICK HERE to book onto a Module 10B – practical assessment.
This is delivered by South & South East London Scouts trainers. Module 10A (parts 1 and 2) must be completed before you book on to and attending this part of your training.
Please be mindful of the following:
- Please only book your practical assessment if you absolutely intend to block the time out of your schedule and honour your commitment to attend.
- Your one-to-one session will start promptly. You are welcome to arrive at the venue 10 minutes before your start time. To help us be fair to everyone and to stay on time please arrive at least 5 minutes before you are due to start.
- we understand things happen, so if you find you are unable to attend the session you have booked, please do your very best to let us know as soon as you can, and at least 24 hours before.
- Please remember that our booking fee is non-refundable (click here for more details.) So please be aware that if you have the need to cancel you will be required to pay again when you rebook.
Please Note:
On completion of First Response Module 10A theory 1: elearning, and Module 10A theory 2: zoom session, Module 10A will be validated on your learning record.
On completion, Module 10B: practical assessment we will validate 10B for on your learning record and a full First Response certificate issued.
This will be valid for three years from the date that you completed module 10A.
