Note taker at our team meetings

Help us keep track of our decisions...

Minutes Secretary

Do you like keeping paperwork in order? Do you have a great eye for detail? If so, we could use your talents to help transform the lives of young people in our local community.

We are looking for someone to take the notes and record the actions decided at our county meetings and write the occasional email.

Our county trustee and leadership team meetings play a key role in the management of scouting across South London. Both teams make decisions and set the direction of the support we provide to our districts, groups, and units to ensure that the best quality scouting can be delivered to as many young people as possible in our sections. Both teams play a very important part in the day-to-day support we provide. In fact, we could not function properly without them.

A bit more info...

County Leadership team

Our County Leadership Team is led by the Lead Volunteer for South London Scouts and coordinates the strategic direction, operational workstreams and support provided by our wider County Team and the County Development Service.

County Trustee Board

Our County Board of Trustees is led by the County Chair and plays an important part in the running of our county. The team exists to support the County Commissioner in meeting the responsibilities of the appointment and to provide support for our county team and districts.

Both teams meet bi-monthly, for a couple of hours, and are made-up of people like you! Everyone has different skills to offer, come from different backgrounds and have varying experiences. This helps to ensure a variety of perspectives and a more rounded and effective committee.

This is a small important role that is ideal for someone who would like to support scouting at county level but cannot currently commit to a more involved role on our team.
