A wide range of training and support is available from South London Scouts Adult Training Active Support Unit. The Unit is made up of our Trainers, Facilitators, Local Training Managers and everyone that supports and helps provide training across our County.
Below are details of our latest Adult Training programme for Leaders, Managers and Supporters.
All residential courses are held at the South London Scout Centre, Grange Lane, Dulwich, SE21 7LH, unless otherwise stated.
Our courses are limited to 28 people and individual modules are limited to 18 people. Places can be booked by click on the links below.
Refreshments and snacks are provided, day courses include lunch, weekend course includes all meals.
All adult training is provided free of charge to members of scouting across the London Region.
However, if you fail to attend any training that you have book on to your scout group,/explorer scout unit or District (as appropriate), will be charged for your place as follows:
- £10.00 for an evening course
- £15.00 for a day course
- £50.00 for a weekend course
As you will appreciate, our training is planned and delivered by a team of dedicated volunteers and these fees are in place to encourage people to follow through on their commitment, once they book a place, to attend our free training and help us avoid the situation where a lot of planning for course sessions and the purchasing of food and resources takes place for people that do not attend.
This said, we of course, understand that things happen, and sometimes best laid plans cannot be seen through. In these cases when people contact us in the immediate lead up to a course, we are happy to look at each individual case.
If you find that you have a genuine reason why you are unable to attend a course or module you have booked on to please email email@example.com and we will discuss the situaion with you.
REMEMBER: You are in control. So, book onto courses or modules, attend the training and get the modules you have attended validated!
In additional, a non-refundable fee of £22.00 is required to cover the cost of catering on a weekend course. This is payable at least 10 days before the training takes place.
