Help prepare, cook and wash up the traditional camp dinner...
A cooking challenge
We all know how scouts like to cook, well here is a simple challenge.
Cook a fine feast using the following ingredents:

Chicken
-
a green vegetable of your choice
-
an onion
-
tinned tomatoes
-
a pepper
-
rice, pasta or potatoes
You can also put any other ingredients or herbs and spices you can lay your hands on in your dish.
Alternatively
Have bangers, mash and beans!
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread (makes 4 doughnuts)
- Jam (strawberry or raspberry is good)
- Batter mix (1 packet makes 12 doughnuts)
- Sugar (to roll your cooked doughnut in)
- Oil (to fry doughnuts)
Utensils
- 1 x knife (for spreading and cutting)
- 1 x chopping board/plate
- 1 x measuring jug and whisk/fork (for batter mix)
- 1 x frying pan
- 1 x bowl (for sugar)
- Oil (to fry doughnuts)
Method
- Make a sandwich using 2 slices of bread and some jam (no butter!)
- Cut the sandwich into 4 squares.
- Roll each square of sandwich in the batter mix (make sure you have a thick even coating).
- Shallow fry each square on both sides until golden brown.
- Once cooked, roll each square in sugar.
- Eat!
